Very inflammatory article. Starts off well with the obvious "diets are bad" and "exercise is good" then goes into "eating dead animals is bad"! Maybe try rephrasing that a little. You either want to push your vegan/vegetarian agenda or your health/fitness agenda. Choose one and stick to it. Everything else makes the article look unprofessional.
If the diet is not as relevant to weight loss as exercise is, then shouldn't the article be mostly about exercise rather than what you should or should not eat? Start by talking about the benefits of working out and the negatives of jojo-dieting in general terms, go into details later. You need to get the point across quicker. (stronger/larger muscle fibers and the rebuilding of muscle fiber increases metabolism and quick diets usually make you loose weight by loosing water and muscle fiber rather than fat, which means that your metabolism will slow down are probably the two main points people who are stuck in jojo-dieting behavior should realize as quickly as possible) 85.227.237.32 14:40, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input. I agree it seems a little split, I started writing the article, then borrowed a blog entry of mine for the second half, probably needs to be blended better. Although I do state that your diet has little to do with loosing weight, there is far more to being healthy than being a health weight, and there is more to being fit than just exercise. Nutrition is very important, even if you run marathons or do CrossFit and have a perfect body, if your nutrition sucks, you can still die an early death from heart disease or various cancers.
